Roopa Mistry

Associate Attorney

Roopa Mistry earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where she completed a Health Law Certificate, and holds a bachelor's degree in Health Administration and Public Policy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Her path into law was deliberate from the start. Long before law school, her studies pointed toward the place where healthcare, policy, and people's most personal needs intersect, and she has been building on that foundation ever since.

Law school only sharpened that focus. Roopa served as President of the Student Health Law Organization, as Notes and Comments Editor for the Journal of Health Care Law and Policy, and in the Medical-Legal Partnership Clinic, work that earned her a Public Service Award. Born and raised in Montgomery County, she became an attorney out of a straightforward conviction: a desire to help people navigate complex legal challenges, protect their rights, and find real solutions to their problems.

Away from the office, Roopa is an avid gardener, a pursuit that rewards patience and steady attention, and she treasures time with friends and family. Those same instincts shape how she serves clients. She meets people during decisions that are often deeply personal, and she approaches each one with care, clarity, and genuine commitment to the outcome. Now practicing in the community where she grew up, she helps Maryland families plan for the future with the confidence that comes from working with someone who truly listens.
